Neue INSPEC Version am ERL Server der ZB-Physik installiert:
Die neue Version der INSPEC Datenbank ist eingetroffen. Ab 23.09.2002 ist sie komplett am Server der ZB Physik verfügbar.In der Übergangsfrist werden wir beide Versionen anbieten.
Folgende Änderungen wurden bei der neuen Version vorgenommen:
Author Index (AUI) This browsable index includes names of individuals from the Author, Editor and Translator fields.
Classification Code (CC) This field contains only the code numbers of INSPEC's Classification System that are assigned to the record. It also contains the level one and level two codes of each classifcation.
Copyright Clearance Center Fee Code (CF) This field has a new short field label, CF. It used to be CL. The CF field displays the authorization code given by the Copyright Clearance Center.
Chemical Indexing (CI) The CI field contains controlled data on the significant inorganic substances and material systems discussed in a paper. It now has browsable index.
Classification Code ((CL) This field has been reformatted to provide a hierarchical display of INSPEC's Classification system through its browsable index. To search the actual code, use the CC Classification Code field. (CL was previously the short field label for Copyright Clearance Center Fee Code. See CF, above)
Contract Number (CN) The CN field contains the number(s) that identify the contract under which work described in a technical report has been performed. This may not be present on all records.
Journal Name Index (JN) The JN field is a special field designed to provide a bowsable index of journal names.
Numerical Data Indexing (NI) The NI field contains structured numeric data that appears either in the title or abstract and is likely to be of use for retrieval. Its now has a browsable index.
Publisher (PB) The PB field lists the name of the publisher of the original document. When available, the city, state and country in which the publisher is located is also listed in this field. It may also contain the sponsoring organization.
Pages (PP) The PP field indicates the total numer of pages contained in the original document. Values cited include preface pages as well as main content pages.
Update Code (UD) The UD field contains the four-digit year and issue number, in YYYY### format, in which the record was entered in the database.
URLS, etc (XURL) The XURL field indicates the presence of specific data, such as a URL or DOI, within a record. It has a browsable index and is also a limit field.
The presence of the new fields may alter the appearance of the SO Source Field for some record types. All data previosly provided still exists, but may occur in its specific field, rather than in the Source field. For example, Publisher information., prevoiusly included in the SO Source field for Book Chapter record types, now appears in the PB Publisher field. Information about the field changes is included in the Guides available via the Help function.
